First, navigate to the admin panel of your platform. Here, you should locate the ‘Resources’ section. At the bottom of this section, you will find the option to create rooms. Click on ‘Create Room’ to begin setting up your new chat or streaming room.
Naming Your Room
Assign a name to your room carefully. The name you choose is significant as it impacts the generation of chat interactions within the room. It’s crucial to get this right the first time since changing the name later can disrupt the continuity of the chat history, essentially creating a new chat environment without the previous interactions.
Room Visibility and Access
- Open/Closed Status: Decide whether the room should be ‘Open’—accessible to all users—or ‘Closed’, which restricts access and shows a closed message to those who try to enter.
- Linking Rooms: You have the option to link your new chat room with another, allowing for shared chat interactions across different rooms.
Additional Settings
While setting up your room, you can also upload an offline image that will display when the stream is offline, replacing the standard video player view.

Recording and Publishing

After configuring all settings, click to create your room. Initially, the chat might be empty but will populate as users engage.
